  1. When is the best time of year to visit Maui? I do not like being crowded but I don't want to be there when it is too rainy or hot either.

  2. Well anonymous, you're in luck because the temperature on maui is relatively temperate all year round. The crowds are less visible during the Fall and Winter Seasons.

My favorite time of year is February and March for that very reason! February and March also fall during the Humpback whale season which is incredible on Maui and not to be missed if at all possible. The waterfalls are are a wonderful site because they are full the rains that have fallen in the mountains.

What kinds of activities do you enjoy and is there a particular reason for your visit? I can recommend an array of places that you would enjoy!

  4. Nice! You're certainly tuning in to your romantic side...what woman would'nt love that?!! Maui is such a beautiful and romantic place for an engagement, it is also the top location in the U.S for honeymoons.

If you like nature and beauty, you've chosen the perfect spot. One of the most impressive views is that of the sun rising through the clouds on Haleakala, (a dormant volcano), which you drive up to in the early...early Morning hours. You can drive back down or go with a tour and bike ride back down. Dress warm, the summit is at an elevation of 10, 023 feet. Allow a few hours for the drive as well as touring the picturesque "upcountry" area.

The winding road to Hana is another trip well worth taking. Give yourself plenty of time; this is more of a journey to experience than a sightseeing trip! Pre-pack a nice lunch so you can have a romantic picnic, take a dip in one of the many natural pools, go for a hike among the bamboo trees, go to a black sand beach, view some amazing waterfalls from the mountains on one side and the cliffs overlooking the ocean on the other side...not bad at all!!

Of course you'll have the opportunity for fine dining with amazing views throughout the island. One of my favorites for romance and natural beauty is Mama's Fish House but you can just as easily have a picnic or arrange dinner for two on the beach...how romantic and beautiful is that?!!

  5. That sounds very nice. Can you recommend a travel agency. I prefer someone who really knows the ins and outs of Hawaii.

  6. Actually, I operate a travel agency...Tailored Travel Services. Although we organize travel around the world, we are a certified specialist of Hawaii. Having been a visitor and ultimately a resident of Hawaii, I have aparticular interest in the area. It would be a pleasure to create a wonderfully special experience for you and your "future fiance."
There are many agencies out there, I always suggest that when you look for one, make certain that they are asking questions about what experinces you would like to have and not that they are just selling a package they want to sell. Feel free to contact me further if you would like my assistance; I will personally work with you.

  9. 2008 Olympics:
When do you think I should book travel for the 2008 olympic? Any recommendations regarding hotels and other accomodations?

  10. If you are looking togo to the Olymics, I would start looking ASAP! Tickets go very quickly and China being more and more polpular is getting alot of tourism without the special events.

Feel free to contact me if you wish; we deal with all destinations and I have personally been to Beijing...an active and nice city!
